Why a cleanroom

A billion flakes an hour

That is what human skin sheds, every hour, in every room. In pharmaceutical, biomedical, optical and electronics production, those flakes and the particulates around them are a defect waiting to happen.

Particles as small as 0.12 microns cause sterility failures in drug products and terminal defects in the circuitry used for microprocessors. A cleanroom is the engineered barrier between your process and that risk — and it protects the investment already sunk into equipment, materials and time.

Air

How the air moves

Fresh air is conditioned through a hygienic air handling unit, delivered into a pressure plenum above the room, pushed down through fan filter units in a unidirectional flow, and drawn back through the raised floor.

We design that loop alongside the room itself, so panel joints, ceiling grid, filter positions and return paths agree with one another instead of being reconciled on site.

How we work

Through every phase we act as the client's unbiased professional adviser. Our expertise is independent of equipment suppliers, manufacturers and installers, so the design that gets built is the one that suits the process rather than the one that suits a vendor.

  • Design, engineering, technical, regulatory and project management under one roof
  • A technical library kept current with national and international codes
  • Experts on call for process, filtration, water and containment questions
  • Systems that perform to specification without over-compliance or unnecessary re-validation
  • Construction managed so drawings, specifications, safety codes and statutory requirements are followed on site

Products

Built to the millimetre, sealed on every side

Every panel, door, window and ceiling tile is manufactured in house, so non-standard sizes are cut on the machine rather than trimmed on your site.

Wall panels

A composite of two skins of approved finish over an aluminium framework, sealed and insulated inside. The skin is an anti-scratch, non-porous, fire-resistant thermoset resin with a melamine surface.

Infill optionsEPS · rockwool · PUF · honeycomb
StandardsEN 438 · IS 2046 · WHO GMP
  • Greater heights achieved by stacking; walls are self-supporting
  • All four sides sealed, seams siliconed to a flush finish, airtight with the door and window system
  • Impact, scratch and chemical resistant to most commonly used reagents
  • Cable ducts for sockets and switches embedded at designed positions
  • Flexible in the field, so design changes are absorbed rather than argued

Windows

View panels are the one place the brand allows a radius, and they are engineered to sit perfectly flush so there is no ledge for particulate to gather.

Doors

Single or double swing-out as standard, with sliding types made for pharma and healthcare on request.

  • Two skins of high pressure compact laminate, sealed and insulated interior
  • Welded extruded aluminium internal frame with food-grade gaskets for minimal leakage
  • External frames in rounded anodised aluminium with air-tight dual gaskets
  • Hinge and latch fasteners recessed into the frame
  • 180° swing from full open to full closed
  • Door closers, heavy duty hinges and bottom seals
  • Automatic sliding doors for operation theatres and sterile corridors

False ceiling

Tightly sealed, available walkable at 160 kgs per square metre or non-walkable, and designed to the room layout in progressive or non-progressive options.

  • Load-bearing walk-on T-grid in aluminium profile carrying panels, lights and filter units
  • Suspension rods and turnbuckles for height adjustment

Hospitals and clinics

HPL laminates carry the Certificate of Hygienic Merit from the Royal Institute of Public Health. They can be steam cleaned or disinfected with no adverse effect, meet Class 0 of the CBRI Building Regulations for heat, flame and fire, and pass low smoke emission tests.

In wards, circulation routes and waiting areas the colour and pattern range does real work: calmer surfaces, easier cleaning, and a digital design service for spaces such as children's wards.

We deliver complete turnkey healthcare solutions including modular operation theatres, pendants, medical gas and water services, automatic sliding doors, LAF systems with automation, flooring and accessories.
